Founded in 1973 by Nelda and Charlie Illick, Dock Street Printing Company was formerly a national franchise for almost 20 years. Since January 1, 1993 we have been independent. February 2001 marked yet another milestone in our history, when Charlie and Nelda sold the company to enjoy retirement. Dock Street Printing is now owned by Bill Goodwyn and Cindy Meyers, both long term employees as department managers. Yet still to this day, our philosophy and values remain the same.
A philosophy of integrity and honesty in our relationship with our customers and employees has always been of the utmost importance. Great value is placed on team interaction and on respect for each and every person involved in the operation of this company. We approach your project with a constructive and critical eye, born of genuine interest in what we are doing. New ideas and suggestions for improving our operation are welcomed. We won't take it personally unless you start to make fun of us. Even then, we probably won't care. We might just give it back to you.
We like to consider ourselves the "Cheers" of print shops. We are a fun and friendly group. We know the names of almost everyone that comes through the door. If we don't know your name, don't worry, after a couple of visits we will not only know your name, but we will know your pet's name too.
We work hard but if you are in the mood to just come in and 'shoot the breeze', we are ready. We are pet friendly and always have treats ready to hand out.
We try to find more efficient ways to run your job with top quality while saving you money. If you need something in a hurry, we can easily be persuaded with any of the following: milkshakes, bon-bons, chocolate, cookies, brownies, donuts . . . you get the idea.
Feel free to ask our friendly staff for their opinion. We will tell you the truth. If it makes us cringe (for example: blue ink on orange paper) we will kindly advise you to go another direction. After all, what we print for you is a reflection of us. If you look good, then we look good.
Come on in anytime, either to get out of the weather or to put us to work, we will be glad to see you and your pets. . . . and your bribes!
